This week on VeVe sent the Turtles back to the dojo, turned a generation of gaming memories into Banaduck hoodies, and gave Namor three straight days to make diplomatic relations considerably worse.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Dojo Discipline put all four brothers back under Master Splinter’s watch, with animations built around their personalities and signature weapons. BuckChan’s Banaduck Hoodie Collection looked back at the consoles that defined an era, complete with a craft and an exceptionally limited chase. Then Marvel closed out the week with three Namor stories spanning decades of complicated Atlantean history.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Dojo Discipline

Before they became New York’s most unlikely heroes, the Turtles trained.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Dojo Discipline brought Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo back to the dojo in a four-piece digital collectible series centred on their training under Master Splinter.

All four wear dojo gis and carry their signature weapons, but their animations make it clear they are not exactly model students in the same way. Leonardo approaches training with focus and responsibility, Donatello with precision, Raphael with intensity, and Michelangelo with the loose energy that makes him unmistakably Mikey.

Same dojo. Same teacher. Four very different students.

The series arrived on VeVe on August 23.

If you grew up with tiny handheld screens, purple cubes, colourful buttons, and cartridges that somehow survived everything, BuckChan’s Banaduck Hoodie Collection knows exactly which part of your brain it is aiming for.

Rather than recreating classic consoles directly, BuckChan filters the memories around them through Banaduck. Familiar colour palettes, shapes, and design cues become hoodies, boots, and character details, capturing how those machines felt as much as how they looked.

Boy looks back to the original Game Boy, Cube embraces the strange charm of the GameCube, and Super draws from the restrained grey and colourful controls of the Super Nintendo. Hoodie takes a different approach altogether, focusing on the simple comfort of sitting down with a favourite game.

The 22-Edition Chase

Then there is Boy (Color).

Limited to just 22 editions, the Secret Rare Special Edition takes the collection’s Game Boy nostalgia into Game Boy Color territory and turns it into the hardest piece in the lineup to find.

From Digital to Physical

The release also connected back to BuckChan’s physical work.

During the eligible promotional window, digital collectible purchases earned entries for a chance to win a unique one-of-one physical Banaduck collectible.

Comic Releases

Namor Across Three Eras

Namor had a busy week.

Three Marvel digital comics put the Sub-Mariner at the centre of conflicts spanning very different points in his history: an attack on Wakanda, his complicated alliance with Doctor Doom, and a new struggle for power beneath the waves.

All three arrived in blind box waitlist format with five cover variants and 1,000 editions each. Each issue also inspired a colourway of the Phoenix Five Namor digital collectibles, tying the comic releases back to Namor’s wider presence on VeVe.

Avengers vs X-Men (2012) #8

Wakanda found itself directly in the path of the Phoenix Five in Avengers vs X-Men (2012) #8.

With the Avengers and X-Men already at breaking point, an out-of-control Namor invaded Wakanda in pursuit of the Avengers. At the same time, a revelation threatened to fracture the X-Men alliance from within.

It is one of the bigger Namor moments from Avengers vs X-Men, putting his power, pride, and tendency to escalate a disagreement on full display.

Saga of the Sub-Mariner (1988) #12

Saga of the Sub-Mariner (1988) #12 pulled the focus away from superhero warfare and onto Namor himself.

The Sub-Mariner tells his side of the story behind his alliance with Doctor Doom, while the larger saga concludes with the death of his beloved Marrina.

Compared with the scale of the other two comics this week, this is the more personal Namor story, digging into the alliances, relationships, and losses that have shaped the character.

Avengers (2018) #9

Then things went back underwater.

In Avengers (2018) #9, the undersea world sits on the brink of war and the Avengers head to Atlantis to intervene. There is just one problem: air-breathers are no longer particularly welcome.

At the centre of it all is Namor, with a new plan for Atlantis that could shift the balance of power on Earth. Politics, pride, an underwater kingdom, and very little interest in compromise. In other words, a fairly typical Namor situation.

Key detail: Namor moves to redefine Atlantis’ place in the world as tensions with the surface reach breaking point.

That wraps up this week on VeVe.

The Turtles went back to basics under Master Splinter, BuckChan turned old gaming memories into a very strange wardrobe, and Namor spent three days making Atlantis everyone else’s problem.
