This Week on VeVe: Turtle Blimp Takes Flight, Excalibur & Wakanda

September 26–October 2, 2026

The Turtles took to the skies this week, while Marvel gave us two very different corners of its comic history.

The Turtle Blimp arrived with AR flight, working lasers, and new ways to display compatible Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo digital collectibles. Over in comics, Excalibur #1 brought together one of Marvel’s strangest mutant teams, while Wakanda #4 put Tosin front and centre when trouble came to a vibranium mine.

Here’s the quick catch-up.

Digital Collectible Release

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Turtle Blimp

If you have been building out a TMNT collection, the Turtle Blimp digital collectible gives the team somewhere new to go.

Qualifying Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo digital collectibles can snap into positions across the Blimp, including the cockpit, engine, and wing. Place a Turtle and the collectible shifts into a pose designed for that position.

The Blimp has plenty going on by itself too.

Tap the engines and they fire up with visible exhaust and sound. The front lasers can be activated with their own visual and audio effects, and the whole airship can be flown in AR.

It is the compatibility that really pulls everything together. Instead of adding another TMNT vehicle that sits on its own, the Blimp gives existing Turtle collectibles another way to become part of the scene.

The Technodrome gave Krang a giant rolling fortress.

Now the Turtles have air support.

Comic Releases

Excalibur #1

With the X-Men believed dead, Kitty Pryde, Rachel Summers, and Nightcrawler join Captain Britain and Meggan to form Excalibur.

Excalibur #1 kicks off the team’s ongoing series and sends some familiar mutants into a very different part of the Marvel Universe.

The first issue brings the team together as the Warwolves close in, setting the stage for a series that would become known for taking mutant stories into some particularly strange territory.

The digital comic arrived with five cover variants.

If your X-Men collecting leans toward the weirder corners of Marvel history, this is a pretty important place to start.

Wakanda #4

Wakanda #4 gives Tosin the spotlight in a story written by his creator, John Ridley.

With T’Challa in exile, Tosin has to step forward when the Abomination attacks a vibranium mine. At the same time, a forbidden romance and a dark prophecy put pressure on the life he is trying to build for himself.

The issue also continues the History of the Black Panthers backup story, this time featuring Benhazin.

The digital comic arrived with five cover variants.

Tosin is still early in his Marvel story, which makes this kind of spotlight interesting. We are getting a character who is still figuring out where he fits in Wakanda rather than revisiting a role that has already been established for decades.

Final Thoughts

That wraps up this week on VeVe.

The Turtle Blimp gave TMNT collectors a new way to bring the four brothers into the same display, Excalibur took familiar mutants somewhere much stranger, and Tosin got another chance to define what being a hero in Wakanda means for him.

Three very different releases, with plenty to dig into whether your collection leans toward TMNT, mutant history, or newer Marvel characters.

Check back next week for another catch-up on what’s new on VeVe.
