Last November, we handed out the very first VeVe Community Awards at DCon Las Vegas, as part of our 5th birthday celebrations. It was the community that made that celebration what it was, collectors nominating collectors, then voting for the winners. That’s exactly why we’re doing it again.

The VeVe Community Awards are back for 2026. Once again, most of the winners are decided by you, the collectors, creators, and community members who make VeVe what it is.

Here’s how it works: nominate who you think deserves recognition; we’ll narrow each category to three finalists, then the community votes for the winners.

Award Categories & Criteria

Here’s what we’re recognizing this year, and what each award is looking for. A handful of categories are decided directly from VeVe’s own data rather than by nomination.

Community-nominated categories

Biggest Collector at Heart

For the collector whose passion for VeVe is impossible to miss.
Criteria:

• Not about the size or value of the collection — about a genuine love of collecting.
• Shows real enthusiasm for comics, collectibles, and the culture around them.
• Shares that passion with others, through trading, teaching, or just showing up.

VeVe Meme of the Year

Celebrating the funniest, most unmistakably VeVe content the community made this year.
Criteria:

• Original, funny, and unmistakably VeVe.
• Widely shared or loved within the community.
• Keeps the humor high while staying respectful.
• Include a screenshot to back up your nomination.

OMI Meme of the Year

A category just for our OMI fam, and the memes that capture their energy.
Criteria:

• Creative, funny content built around the OMI token.
• Captures how the community actually talks about OMI.
• Original, or a clever twist on an existing format.
• Include a screenshot to back up your nomination.

 

VeVeVerse Visionary

For the collector who has been an advocate for the VeVeVerse. Someone who brings collecting to life inside the VeVeVerse and encourages others to do the same.
Criteria:

• Encourages other collectors to explore the VeVeVerse.
• Brings genuine creativity to how they use the space — design, theme, or storytelling.
• Include a screenshot or clip to back up your nomination.

Best AR Content

Recognizing the best use of VeVe’s augmented reality features this year.
Criteria:

• Original, high-quality use of AR that brings a collectible to life.
• Shared in a way that made other collectors want to try it themselves.
• Include a screenshot or clip to demonstrate it.

Discord Moderator of the Year

For the mods who keep our spaces safe, welcoming, and genuinely fun to be part of.
Criteria:

• Fair, helpful, and approachable, consistently — not just on a good day.
• Helps keep the community environment positive and safe.
• Recognized by other members for going beyond what the role asks.
• Is a current moderator as of 1 September 2026. 

Best Showcase

For the VeVe Showcase that does the best job of telling a collection’s story.
Criteria:

• Thoughtful selections that actually show the collection off well.
• Creative theming and inclusions that inspire other collectors.

Include a screenshot to demonstrate why it stands out.

Mint Mogul

For the most impressive mint collection on VeVe.
Criteria:

• A collection of specific mints that other collectors would genuinely admire.
• Known to be a dedicated mint hunter.
• Include a screenshot to show it off.

Favorite Host

For the X Spaces or YouTube host the community can’t get enough of.
Criteria:

• Consistently hosts engaging VeVe content, whatever the format.
• Brings the community together and keeps the conversation going.
• Known for a style or format people look forward to.

Best Phygital Collector

For the collector bringing both physical and digital collecting together, and doing it well.
Criteria:

• Genuinely combines a physical and a digital collection, not just one or the other.
• Shares that collection with the community.
• Include a screenshot to show it off.

Event MVP

For the community member who shows the most enthusiasm for VeVe events, large or small.
Criteria:

• Regularly shows up to VeVe events, whether that’s major cons like NYCC or local community meetups.
• Brings genuine energy and enthusiasm to events, not just attendance for the sake of it.
• Helps make events feel welcoming for other collectors, especially newer ones.

Point to remember: Our VeVe team members looove our events, but these awards are strictly for community members only!

 

VeVe selected categories

Trivia Champion

Our true VeVe trivia aficionado.

Criteria:

• Decided by the outcome of the official VeVe Community Meet-up trivia final — no nomination needed. Good luck to everyone taking part!

Affiliate of the Year

For the affiliate partner who brought the most new collectors to VeVe this year.

• Criteria:
  Based on VeVe’s own referral data — no nomination needed.

Feed Master

For the collector who owns the VeVe Feed.
Criteria:

• This year, it’s based on total likes across all of a collector’s VeVe Feed posts. The criteria may shift in future years to keep things fresh, but the spirit stays the same: this one’s for whoever owns the most love on the Feed!

VeVe’s Best Friend

For the collector who introduced the most new friends to VeVe through our Friend Get Friend program.

Criteria:

• Based on referral data from the Friend Get Friend program — no nomination needed.

How the Nomination Process Works

Nominations open at 9 AM PT on Monday 21 September and close at 11.59 PM PT on Sunday 27 September. One week to get your picks in.

When submitting, you’ll need to:

• Enter your VeVe username.
• Select the award category from the dropdown.
• Enter the VeVe username of the person you’re nominating (or social media handle is also OK).
• Write a short reason for your nomination, and attach a screenshot or photo where the category calls for it.

Rules to keep it fair:

• Only your first nomination in each category counts — if you submit more than once, we’ll keep your first entry and discard the rest.
• Nominations are reviewed against our community guidelines before finalists are chosen, and any that don’t meet them will be discarded.

How Voting Will Work

Once nominations close, we’ll narrow each category down to three finalists. Voting opens at 9 AM PT on Monday 5 October and closes at 11.59 PM PT on Sunday 11 October.

• You’ll need your VeVe username to cast a vote.
• One vote per category, per person.
• We may invalidate any votes we believe are designed to manipulate the result.

Winners & Prizes

Winners will once again be announced during DCon Las Vegas, 14–16 November 2026. Each winner receives a personalized VeVe medal plus its digital twin, and gets recognized across VeVe’s channels — Feed, Discord, blog, and social. Finalists will receive a certificate.
