Crypto Pay-In: What You Need To Know

Collectors and crypto-enthusiasts will be able to enter the VeVe Collectibles experience using their digital assets. Here is an outline covering how Crypto Pay-In will work when released. Stay tuned to our socials and this article for news on when Crypto Pay-In is available.

Crypto Pay-In (Crypto to Gem)

Crypto Pay-In is a new feature allowing users to purchase Gems using some large-cap digital assets and stablecoins. You will do this through the VeVe web app, and the process is similar to purchasing Gems using a Credit Card.

VeVe Collectors will also have the choice of 5 tokens to “pay-in” with: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT, USDC, and Binance USD (bUSD).

Log into the VeVe web app using the same credentials you use to log into the VeVe mobile app (this feature is only available through the web app).

Open the settings menu and select My Wallet, and then Get More Gems.

Enter the number of Gems you wish to purchase and select ‘Cryptocurrency’ as the payment option. There is currently a $10,000 weekly limit.

If you are using BTC you can send it using the Bitcoin blockchain. ALL other tokens are ERC20, so please DO NOT use any network other than Ethereum to send bUSD, USDT, USDC, and ETH. ⚠️

Select the token you wish to make the payment with and you will be presented with the current market price and conversion rate for that purchase, as well as how much of the token you need to send to complete the payment. A 3% fee is applied to all crypto-to-Gem transactions. This rate will be live for 15 minutes. If payment is received outside of that time a new rate will be applied, and the number of Gems you receive will be adjusted accordingly.

If you’re happy with the rate, click next. Then, you will be given a QR code and wallet address to send your crypto to, in order to complete the payment. This QR code will also be sent to you via email.

Once you have completed the payment, return to the VeVe web app and select ‘I Have Made Payment.’ You will see additional instructions and what to expect. Depending on the cryptocurrency used and the network congestion at the time, transactions may take several minutes to complete.

You will receive an email from Wyre (the payment services provider) once the payment has been received, and it may take some time from this point before the Gems are credited to your account.

Users can only process one Crypto Pay-In transaction at a time. If you fail to make the payment or change your mind you will need to wait 15 minutes before you can process a new transaction.

Receiving Your Gems
When the transaction is complete, your Gem balance will be automatically credited and you will receive in-app and email notifications.

Transaction Status
You can view the status of your transaction by checking the wallet address on the block explorer from which you made the payment.

Processing Time
Cryptocurrency payments can take up to a few hours to process. Please contact VeVe support only if the transaction has taken more than 10 hours.

Gem Transaction
Your purchase transaction can be viewed on your Gem Wallet > Transaction screen

Wyre Payments Inc.
Your cryptocurrency payment is being made to Wyre Payments, Inc who will convert the payment to USD and pay the USD to VeVe as payment for the Gems. The Wyre Inc Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and the VeVe Terms of Use (including refund policy) apply. If you send a different amount of cryptocurrency than the amount indicated in your request, the payment will not be refunded. The number of Gems received will be adjusted to reflect the amount of cryptocurrency actually received.
