Arthur Adams - Marvel Made Paragon Collection: Chris Claremont Lithograph #1

This Marvel Artwork from Arthur Adams pays homage to the first appearance of the iconic weapon Stormcaster. First seen in X-Men Annual #9, Stormcaster was created by Loki and presented to Ororo Munroe, AKA Storm. With Stormcaster in hand, Storm gained divine power and became the Goddess of Thunder, for a brief time. “This piece was originally created as a print to accompany the Marvel Made Paragon Collection by Chris Claremont. It was rendered on an oversized Bristol board with light blue prismacolor pencils, Ticonderoga HB 2 pencil, and black and red Pigma Micron pen. A bit of whiteout was used to create highlights and contrast. This was possibly my first major piece commemorating Mr. Claremont’s and my work on New Mutants Special and X-Men Annual #9.” — Arthur Adams
