The concept for the Space Station X-1 attraction was simple: guests would "see America from outer space." To do this, they would step on a rotating platform that represented a space station 90 miles above earth. The three-minute presentation, in blacklight, featured a simulated dawn-to-dusk journey across the United States, ending with a sunset in California.
