The Animus sits at the heart of Desmond Miles’ journey and the Assassin’s Creed. Built to access genetic memory, the machine allows Desmond to relive the lives of his ancestors and experience history through their eyes. The Animus 2.0 becomes especially important as he follows Ezio Auditore’s path across Renaissance Italy, absorbing the skills and instincts that gradually shape him into an Assassin in his own right. Marking the Animus’ first appearance on VeVe, this series celebrates the machine that connected past and present and helped define the franchise’s earliest chapters.
