Jawas, inhabitants to the arid planet of Tatooine, embark on desert journeys in colossal sandcrawlers with the sole purpose of scavenging discarded technological debris, which they diligently restore and offer for sale. Settlers on Tatooine have painfully discovered that the quality of Jawa repairs can be a matter of uncertainty, with some fixes proving transient, often lasting only until the sandcrawler departs, and sometimes not even enduring that brief span.
