VeVe Master Collector Program (MCP) v1.1

The Master Collector Program (MCP) is a loyalty program designed to reward active VeVe Collectors. Through the MCP, Collectors can level up by being an active on VeVe and completing objectives, all while gaining benefits and rewards in a quest to reach the highest level of Master Collector.

Summary

  • All VeVe app users are automatically enrolled in the MCP
  • Upon launch, points will be awarded retroactively to all active VeVe users
  • All new VeVe Collectors are entered into the MCP, starting at Level 0
  • Collectors can earn one-off Points (e.g. for completing Sets), Daily Activity Points (from in-app activity), and/or Daily Asset Points based their collectibles/comics held
  • Points calculate every 24 hours, and this accumulation progresses a collector through one of 100 Levels
  • Collectors also will also earn a Rank based on their daily Points earned.
  • A Collector’s Rank position is based on daily Points accrued relative to other VeVe Collectors, and is calculated once every 24 hours. There are 22 Ranks.

Level Points

In order to level up, a Collector must earn Points. Points are awarded to Collectors in three primary ways:

  1. One-Off Points for specific activities such as completing a collectible Set
  2. Daily Activity Points, earned through in-app activity such as opening the app, sharing to the Feed, and Market listings
  3. Asset Points, which accrue daily based on collectibles/comics held

[EDIT?] for in-app activity and from their standing collection. For example, Points can be earned for purchasing a collectible from the Store, and/or earned daily by owning collectibles or holding completed Sets. Once earned, Points can be spent on various benefits (TBC). Points can be earned from the following activities, with more to be added as the MCP program expands.

+100 Points when completing new user onboarding
+100 Points Received when completing a Set
+25 Points when purchasing collectibles in the Store
+15 Points when purchasing collectibles in the Market

If duplicate Collectibles are held, these will be subject to diminishing Points:
– 2nd Collectible: 0.75 Points

Earning Points
– Points are earned through activities/transactions that take place within VeVe
– Recurring Points stop accruing after 7 days of inactivity
– Points have a shelf life and must be spent within 6 months of earning (there will be an indication in the app as to the amount of Points needed to be spent before a certain date). Points which are closest to expiring will be used first – starting point of Expiration TBC
– Points are calculated and applied once per 24hr period at a set time each day
– Points have 2 decimal places
– Earned points may change during certain periods — e.g. Double Point Bonus Days

Retroactive Points
When the MCP is officially launched, level Points will be calculated from the time a Collector’s VeVe account was created. The number of Points received will only be calculated based on the number of Collectibles and Sets the Collector owns in that time.

Point Limitations
Various measures will be in place to prevent users from exploiting, abusing, or otherwise gaming the system. Here are some examples:

– Sets: Points for completing a set can only be earned once per set, e.g. a user cannot complete a Set, sell a collectible from the Set, and then buy it back to complete the Set again.

– Market: Points for purchasing are applied once per collectible, e.g. you can’t purchase the same low-cost collectible over and over to gain Points. Additionally, Market Purchase Points are earned for the first 5 collectible Market purchases daily, e.g. you can’t spend the day buying different low-cost collectibles to infinitely gain points.

Levels, Ranks, Badges

The Master Collector Program consists of Levels and Ranks. Levels and Ranks are mutually exclusive. Levels start at Level 0 (new user) and increase as the Collector earns Points. Each VeVe Collector also has a Rank, and a Collector’s Rank position is determined by their activity relative to other Collectors. For example, the top percentile of Collectors will likely have a high Level and the Rank of Master Collector.

Levels
To level up, the Collector must earn the required amount of Points to go from one level to the next. Each Level has a required amount of Points, and when enough Points are earned, the Collector will level up. Leveling is capped at 100 and more Points are required as the Levels get higher – up to 100.

Each Collector’s Level is displayed on their Profile page, and in a future phase, will be displayed within an MCP badge. The Collector Level will show wherever their Profile is visible, such as the Profile page, in Feed posts, or Market listings.

In the future, as collectors reach specific milestone Levels, they will be able to access level-only features, as well as spend their Points for items and benefits (TBC). MCP points spent will be deducted from total points, but will not affect progress towards a collectors Level.

Rank
Along with Levels, the MCP consists of 22 Ranks. The Collector’s Rank is based on their position relative to other VeVe Collectors. The lowest Rank is Starter and the highest Rank is Master Collector. The 22 ranks are divided based on percentiles. For example, the highest Rank, Master Collector, is reserved for the top percentile of Collectors.

Unlike Levels, Ranks are not static or kept permanently. Ranks are determined by a Collector’s daily point accumulation. As a Collector, your Rank position can move up or down based on your points accumulation over a 24 hour period, relative to other Collectors.

For example, you might be a mid-tier Rank, and if your Rank was to increase, you may replace a Collector in a higher Rank, who would move down a Rank position. Collectors can move between ranks daily.

The 22 Ranks in ascending order are:

Redeeming Points

Additional Waitlist Entries – MCP v2
In MCP v2 Collectors are able to spend MCP Points in exchange for additional entries to a drop Waitlist. This will increase the chances of securing a collectible reservation. Collectors can buy as many additional entries to a Waitlist as their MCP points allow.

Additional Waitlist Entries is the first “benefit” that Collectors will be able to acquire using MCP Points. More benefits will follow in subsequent phases, and we will update this article accordingly.

How It Works
Before drop time, the Waitilist will open. Upon entering the Waitlist, Collectors can opt to spend MCP Points to gain additional entries or “seats” increasing the probability of landing a collectible reservation. Points spent on Waitlist entries are considered spent and will not be refunded even if Collectors are unsuccessful in landing the drop, so use them wisely!

Note: Regardless of the number of waitlist entries redeemed, collectors will only be able to secure a single collectible reservation. The purchase can then be completed using Gems.

Accessories
Collectors will also be able to redeem Points on various Accessories, which will be made available in the VeVe Store. More information will be released on accessories when the feature is closer to release.

FAQ

Who has access to the MCP?
All registered users will automatically be enrolled in the MCP, starting at Level 0.

When will the MCP be available in VeVe?
Development on Phase 1 is now underway, and once complete, the following phases will go into development.

When will each phase be released?
We will aim to release each phase as soon as possible. That said, development timelines can change due to varying factors, so we cannot give a precise release date until closer to release. Each of the phases will release when ready.

Will Points be retroactive?
Yes. Points will be calculated from the day VeVe launched, so your activity within VeVe to date will contribute to your MCP Level and Rank. The number of Points received will only be calculated based on the number of Collectibles and Sets the Collector owns in that time.

Collectibles received via transfer will not receive the one-off Points listed earlier in the article, but will also be calculated retroactively from the time you acquired them. More simply, you will earn Points for holding and set completion, but not for off-platform purchases.

If I held Collectibles and Sets in the past, but sold them before the MCP releases, will I still earn Points for the time I held those Sets/collectibles?
Yes, those Collectibles/Sets will still earn Points retroactively for the time you held them, even if you don’t hold them anymore once the MCP starts.

Will transferred collectibles count towards the MCP?
Collectibles received from a transfer will receive Daily Points, however as they’re not purchased from Store or Market, they will not receive the One-Off Points for Purchase (see the One-Off Points section).

Will holding unique Sets earn more Points than duplicates of the same Set?
Yes, duplicate Sets will have diminishing bonuses vs. unique Sets (see the Collectible Sets section of the article).

Do the Rarity bonuses also apply to Digital Comics, and do Digital Comics earn points otherwise?
Yes, rarity bonuses apply to Digital Comics as well as the rest of the Collectibles. However, Digital Comics do not have traditional Sets, so Set bonuses will not apply to Digital Comics.

Will we be able to earn/use Points in the VeVeVerse?
Yes, Points can be earned and used within the VeVeVerse. More details will be released closer to the launch of the VeVeVerse.

What about OMI Utility?
We believe in a loyalty program for all types of VeVe Collectors. A separate article will be released in due course detailing how OMI tokens can be used in combination with the MCP to boost rewards, and your digital collections.
