Growing up in LA, Kai immersed himself in sneaker and Hypebeast culture. A part of him always wanted to make a toy that represents the varied pieces of who he is. One of his favorite foods from his hometown of Shanghai is the Sheng Jian Bao, aka Pan Fried Pork Bao. With the help of artist Jerome Lu, Cao created the character HypeBao. He is a combination of hometown favorite pan fried dumplings and the hyped attire associated with sneaker culture. To the HypeBao and VeVe families, we hope you’ll enjoy this brand new character and figure that represents Kai in every way.
