Day of the Dead Mother

The Day of the Dead mother has two hair curls and a pink heart adorning her forehead as well as lit candles flanking her sugar skull as beacons to guide deceased loved ones on their annual return journey to the land of the living. Dotting each stamp and adorning the vertical borders are marigolds ("cempazuchitles"), the most popular Day of the Dead flower.
