Rebuilt by Kuiil, IG-11 returns with a completely different purpose. No longer a hunter, he becomes a guardian, learning to protect rather than destroy and creating an unexpected arc in The Mandalorian. His bond with Grogu and his loyalty to Din Djarin’s group turn him into far more than a reprogrammed droid.
