Ducobi - Mother of Pearl

This series merges mother of pearl's material essence with Korean paintings' spatial logic, reimagining the interplay of fullness and emptiness. It evolves traditional craft into a study of pictorial space, where light-sensitive fragments are meticulously arranged through reduction. In this context, "empty space" is an active field sustaining form.
