Headspace Monkey - Luke Chueh x Munkyking

“Headspace” is based on a series of paintings created by Luke Chueh over the past few years. The series is Luke’s attempt to give credit to the things that have had an impact on his life/career. Primates have always been fascinating and tragic creatures to Luke. So close to human, yet so far away, genetically there’s a 1% difference between Chimpanzees and Humans. But it’s that minuscule difference that makes them the victims of our belittling, the punchline of our jokes, and the subjects of our laboratory experiments.
