Disneyland Monorail

The first daily operating monorail system, not just in America, but the entire Western hemisphere, the Disneyland® Park Monorail debuted in 1959 and originally carried passengers on an eight-tenths-of-a-mile loop around the Tomorrowland® area. In 1961, the track was expanded to its current 2.5-mile route, which originally dropped guests off at the Disneyland® Hotel. That station is now in the Downtown Disney® District. © Disney
