VIZ Media is a prominent American company specializing in the publishing and distribution of Japanese manga and anime for English-speaking audiences. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, it was founded in 1986 as VIZ LLC and became VIZ Media LLC in 2005 following a merger with ShoPro Entertainment.
