MOTOMICHI is a Japanese-born, New York-based contemporary artist known for his universe of monsters, immersive projections, and emotionally driven visual storytelling. Working across painting, animation, sculpture, and projection mapping, his work blends minimalist aesthetics with themes of fear, mythology, and human psychology. Recognizable through his signature use of black, white, and red, MOTOMICHI creates creatures inspired by Japanese folklore, cryptozoology, and the unknown. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, he has exhibited internationally at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New Museum, and Pictoplasma. Now collaborating with SUYE, MOTOMICHI expands his work into Web3 and digital collectibles.
